“WILL THE RACE BE CANCELED BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER?”
The race will not be canceled because of the weather.
“DO I NEED TO RIDE THE BUS TO THE START LINE?”
All marathon and half marathon participants who are not registered assisted athletes must use the bus and be transported to the start of the race.
If you are pushing an assisted athlete, email info@runtasticevents.com for permits.
“CAN I BRING PETS?”
No, pets are not allowed on the course or in the start/finish areas. For your pet’s safety and the safety of all event participants, pets are not prohibited. Even if they are on a leash, they pose a tripping hazard. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
“IS THERE A LOST AND FOUND?”
If you lose an item at the race, please visit the blue Runtastic Information Tent during the event to see if it has been turned in. Any items that are not picked up at the event will be taken back to our office. Items not claimed after one week will be donated. If you lose an item, please contact us at info@runtasticevents.com.
“WHEN IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER?”
If space permits, you can register on race day until 3:00 AM for the marathon and half marathon, and 6:30 AM for the 5K and 10K races. You can pick up your bag and race packet at the blue Runtastic tent, but you will need to come back after your race to pick up your shirt.
“ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED IN THE RACE?”
Only in the 5K race. If you are running with a stroller, please start at the back of the start line so you don’t impede other runners.
“WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE RACE EXPO FOR PACKET PICK-UP?”
If you can’t make packet pick-up and do not know someone who can pick it up for you, you can get it the morning of the race (up to 60 minutes before) at the blue Runtastic Info tent for a $15.00 fee. You can pay with cash or a card.
“WHAT IS THE TIME LIMIT FOR THE MARATHON?”
The marathon has a time limit of 5 hours and 30 minutes at a 12:35/mi pace. Runners must be past Mile 22 and Aid Station J to be out of the canyon by 10:30 AM.
Any runners who fall behind the last group of pacers (5:30 sweepers) will be picked up by a SAG race vehicle and transported to the finish line.
Potential EARLY MARATHON START for Runners Who Need More Time: At the discretion of the Runtastic Start Line Director, and after all of the buses have been unloaded, runners who anticipate needing more time MIGHT be permitted to start the marathon 30 minutes early at 5:30 AM. The timing mat will be live to record your start time.
“HOW DO I CHANGE RACE CATEGORIES OR DEFER MY RACE? CAN I DEFER MORE THAN ONCE?”
Yes, you can defer more than once. Please review the Transfer & Deferral Policies for transfer fees and deadlines.

“CAN I VOLUNTEER AT THE SAME RACE I WANT TO USE MY RACE CREDIT FOR?”
No. To use volunteer credits to register for a race, they must have been earned from a previous event. Check out our Volunteer page for more details.
