Run for Autism

Runtastic Events brings you the Runtastic Heber Run for Autism for its seventh year “running!” Come enjoy an all-downhill course in scenic Heber Valley, and support children and adults with autism across the state of Utah.

The Runtastic HEBER Run for Autism is honored to have partnered with Valley Behavioral Health for the Runtastic HEBER. Valley Behavioral Health operates the Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning. This education center provides comprehensive treatment, teaching, and service for children with autism and their families. Valley Behavioral Health and The Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning work together to create behavioral and educational services for students by conducting and supporting research into the cause(s) of autism. The Center also offers trainings for teachers and professionals in the best practices and procedures.

Make the Heber Half one of your family’s traditions. Run for a cause. Run for Autism. #runheber

Bag Drop

A bag drop is provided at the Half Marathon start line. Please use the bag you receive at packet pickup to put any items that you won’t be running with. Use the zip tie provided to attach the tear-off tag on your bib to the outside of your bag.

Runtastic is not liable for the loss or damage of any belongings put in the Drop Bag, left along a course, or at an Aid Station. There is an inherent risk to using the Drop Bag service so please only put items in the bag or leave items at an Aid Station that do not have personal, essential, or great value.

If you lose an item at the race, please visit the Blue Runtastic Information Tent during the event to see if it has been turned in.

DROP AT START—PICK-UP AT FINISH: Announcements will be made to drop your bag at the start line in the designated bins or bag trailer/vehicle 15 minutes before the start of the race and will be taken to the Finish Line Bag Pick-Up Corral. You can retrieve your bag after you finish using your race bib.

MILE MARKER & AID STATION DROP: Please drop unwanted clothing items along the course ONLY in marked bins at Mile Marker 1, Mile Marker 2, Aid Station A (Mile 3), and Aid Station B (Mile 5). Bags and clothing left at an Aid Station Clothing Drop will be taken to the Finish Bag Pick-Up Corral, but may not arrive until close to the end of the event. We are not responsible for any lost items.

Items left along the course and not at a designated drop-off spot will be picked up by the clean-up crew and thrown away or donated.

As a courtesy service, all clothing and bags that are not picked up at the Finish Bag Pick-up Corral during the race will be taken to Runtastic’s main office at 50 North Center St. American Fork, UT 84003.

Clothing and bags can be picked up from that location on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for the two consecutive weeks following the event. Participants are welcome to come look through the clothing during those times. Runtastic hopes that participants can recover any lost items but does not have the resources to look for items lost.

If you have more questions, please contact us at info@runtasticevents.com. Lost items not claimed after two weeks will be donated to Deseret Industries as a charitable donation.

TIMING AND BIBS

The Heber Half Marathon, 5K, and All-Abilities 1/2 Mile race will be professionally timed. The chips will be attached to the back of your bib number. Please don’t wrinkle, fold or stuff the bib in your pocket.

The first 3 overall places, male and female, will be determined by gun time (regular timing). All other awards will be determined by using Chip Time.

  • Gun Time is the time elapsed from the sound of the gun to the finish line.
  • Chip Time is the real-time from when the runner crosses the starting line to crossing the finish line.

Results are available in the following ways:

  • On-Screen at the Results Trailer
  • Personal Printed Result at the Results Trailer
  • Online at Results

Note: If you alter or damage your chip your time may not be read correctly. Wear your bib on the outermost layer of clothing.

Race Joy has been enabled for the Heber Half. Get updates along the course and let your loved ones know exactly where you are along the course. Check out the RaceJoy website for more information.
