The run was so beautiful today. I ran The 5k which was a lap and a half around Southern Pines, NC Reservoir Park. However, I donated blood the day before, I was dehydrated AND it was 80 degrees! It definitely felt tougher than usual, but it felt good to get out there and still be a part of something even though all the participants couldn’t run together like traditional races! I love the shirt and the medal. I think they both represent a very unique time in our lives and will serve as a great piece of memorabilia to look back on and tell our children and so many future generations about.
