Get your costumes ready to take on HAUNTED Salt Lake City!
Start each HAUNTED weekend with a spooky Friday Night 5K. Run both of these 5K races in SLC 10/16 and Provo 10/30 to lock your two ghost finisher medals together. REGISTER BEFORE IT SELLS OUT
Kick Saturday morning off with our costume contest at the Half Marathon start line, then earn your spooky ghost medal and bragging rights at Utah’s most spirited Halloween race.
The Half Marathon takes you 13.1 miles down Emigration Canyon, through the Spook Alley tunnel, past creepy creatures and the eerie graveyard, before finishing under the giant pumpkin arch at Sugar House Park.
The morning 5K is a fun, fast, out-and-back race around the park — the perfect test of how fast you can fly in a costume.
And the Kids Run lets little monsters dash a half-mile through Spook Alley to their own festive finish.
Creepy canyons, costumes, and spooky bling — HAUNTED Salt Lake City is the Halloween run that will haunt your PRs.
And for double the Halloween fun, check out our HAUNTED Provo races, October 30–31!

Bibs with Timing by Laurel
Laurel Timing will professionally time all of the HAUNTED Salt Lake City race distances. The chips will be attached to the back of your bib number. Please don’t wrinkle or stuff the bib in your pocket.
The Top Three Overall Male and Female finishers will be determined by gun time (regular timing). The Age Group awards will be determined by using Chip Time.
- GUN Time is the time elapsed from the sound of the gun to the finish line.
- CHIP Time is the real time from when the runner crosses the starting line to crossing the finish line.
Note: If you alter or damage your chip, your time may not be read correctly. Wear your bib on the outermost layer of clothing.

Print Your Race Results Card at the Laurel Timing “BROOKSEE” Black Tent
After your race, head to Laurel Timing’s black BROOKSEE tent near the Awards stage to print your personalized Runtastic HAUNTED results card. It’s a great keepsake to remember your race achievement!
You can also access your results card on the Runtastic Events app under “My Races” or on the RESULTS page.
The Run Your Race (RYR) Pacers will be pacing the Half Marathon runners to help them achieve a new PR!
To run with a pace group, look for the pacer holding up a sign with the finishing time you want to achieve on it. The overall time listed will get faster as you get closer to the starting line. Please find your pacer and line up behind them to ensure you will start and be around other runners with a similar pace.
