Runtastic UTAH CITY is NOW the RUNTASTIC MARATHON for 2026
New Name, Same Great Race — From the Mountains to the Lake
Due to new and continued construction along sections of the originally proposed Runtastic Utah City route, the 2026 course will now finish at Utah Lake State Park in Provo, Utah. Marathon and Relay runners will still start in the mountains, enjoy the fast, scenic 1450′ descent down Provo Canyon, and finish at the lake — delivering the same spring race experience you’ve been looking forward to.
The event will still be on April 11, 2026, and with all the same race distances.
All participants currently registered for Runtastic Utah City are automatically transferred to the same Runtastic Marathon race distances. No action is required.
We are excited to launch the planned Runtastic Utah City race courses in 2027, and Runtastic Marathon Course Map.

Please pick up your packet at the Race Expo the day before the race. Registration CLOSES the day of the race, one hour before bus loading for the Marathon and Marathon Relay, and 30 minutes before the start of the 5K and Kids Run races.

All runners must pick up their race packet before race day at the Race Expo. Your packet includes your race bag, bib number, shirt, and race swag. Please bring a photo ID to pick up your packet. If you cannot attend, you can have someone else pick up your packet, provided they have a copy of your photo ID.
ALL Marathon Runners and Marathon Relay teams MUST pick up their packet at the Race Expo. There will be NO packet pick up race morning for any Marathon or Relay teams. As a last resort, packet pick-up will be available for 5K and Kids runners up to one hour before each race begins inside the building by the finish line.
Marathon Parking & Buses
ALL Marathon and Relay #1 runners MUST ride the bus. Cars parked at the start will be towed.
Parking & Bus Loading: Utah Lake State Park – by the Expo & Finish Line. There will not be a fee to park. We got you!
Bus Loading: 4:45 – 5:15 AM
You must be at the bus loading location by 4:30 AM to guarantee transportation to the start. All Marathon and the first Relay runners are required to show their bib to board and ride the bus to the start area. If you miss the bus, you forfeit your registration and ability to run the race. THERE IS NO SELF-TRANSPORTATION TO THE START. Any cars parked at the start will be towed at the owner’s expense.
5K & Kids Run Parking
Parking – Start & Finish Line: Utah Lake State Park
Complete the full marathon course in relay style with your colleagues, friends, and family.
Register a team of 2-4 runners and work together to conquer 26.2 miles as you run down scenic Provo Canyon, onto the Provo River Trail, and make your way all the way to the finish line along Utah Lake in Provo. Each runner takes on one (or more) legs as your team combines strength, strategy, and speed to cross the finish line together.
Relay Leg Breakdown
Leg 1 – Marathon Start → Canyon Glen
Approx. 7.4 Miles
A fast, beautiful opening segment beginning in upper Provo Canyon and heading downhill toward the mouth of the canyon.
Leg 2 – Canyon Glen → Exchange Park
Approx. 7.8 Miles
Leg 3 – Exchange Park → Epic Sports Park
Approx. 5.8 Miles
Leg 4 –Epic Sports Park → Finish Line in Provo, Utah
Approx. 5.2 Miles
A fast, flat final segment along the trail and city paths that brings your team through the heart of Provo for a strong and exciting finish at Utah Lake State Park.
Redmond Re-Lyte, water, porta-potties, and a first aid kit will be available at each station. Look for Re-Lyte on the first table and water on the second.

RACE PHOTOS
Share all the fun miles with race day photos! All Runtastic races include FREE photos for all the post-race bragging.
Look for our photographers at the start line, along the course, at the finish line, photo backdrops in the finish line area, and at the awards stage. Make sure your bib number is visible so you can search for your photos online.

Bibs with Timing by Laurel
The Runtastic Marathon, Relay, 5K, and Kids Run will be professionally timed. The chips will be attached to the back of your bib number. Please don’t wrinkle or stuff the bib in your pocket.
The Top Three Overall Male and Female finishers will be determined by gun time (regular timing). The Age Group awards will be determined by using Chip Time.
- GUN Time is the time elapsed from the sound of the gun to the finish line.
- CHIP Time is the real time from when the runner crosses the starting line to crossing the finish line.
Please park in designated lots at Utah Lake State Park.
COURSE: To watch and support your runners along the course, please find a viewing area that allows you to drive and park without interfering with the runners. Please park in designated parking lots and not along the course/runner’s path. Dogs/Pets are NOT allowed anywhere on the course for the safety of the runners.
FINISH LINE: Cheer on your runners along the fencing leading up to the finish line and after they come out in the finish area. The corral area directly after the finish line is for runners only. Please refrain from entering this area so all of our participants are able to get their professional photos, finisher medals, and post-race food before exiting and joining you to celebrate in the finish area.
You’ll cross the finish line along the water at Utah Lake State Park — and that’s where the celebration begins.
After finishing, Runtastic Marathon runners will be welcomed into the finish corral to receive a finisher medal, Redmond Re-Lyte, water, chocolate milk, and post-race food. (Finish line food is reserved for registered participants.)
